Fondant (Marshmallow)

​FONDANT (MARSHMALLOW)

INGREDIENTS

16oz mini marshmallows

2 – 4 Tbsp karo syrup

2 lbs 10x sugar

½ cup Crisco

1-2 tsp vanilla

Food coloring
DIRECTIONS

Melt the Marshmallows in the microwave for 30 seconds or so.  

Grease mixing bowl with Crisco and place dough hook on mixer. Add in melted marshmallow, add in karo syrup and vanilla. 

Add desired amounts of food coloring to get the color you want. Note: The color will be a little lighter then it looks now. 

Once everything is well mixed add 1 cup at a time of 10X sugar while stirring until stiff. Knead a little bit after your fondant is stiff. 
You can refrigerate over-night if desired but you can use it right away if you are in a hurry.
Don’t store in the fridge.  Wrap in saran wrap and put in a ziplock bag to store.  

Can put in microwave for 10-15 seconds to make more pliable.
Also use Crisco to help relieve the stickiness.
