Peach Cobbler


375o 40-45 minutes


1 cup flour

2 cups sugar (divided)

3 tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

½ cup butter, melted

1 cup milk

4 cups (5-6) medium peaches, peeled, pitted & thinly sliced

1 Tbsp lemon juice

Several dashes cinnamon or nutmeg


In a medium bowl, combine, flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt

Stir milk into dry ingredients

In large skillet, melt butter and then pour batter over the butter

Place this mixture into a 9×13 pan

In medium skillet over medium-high heat, combine, peaches, lemon juice and 1 cup sugar.  Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

Pour peach mixture over the batter (do NOT stir)

Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg
