Lasagna – Meat

350o 30-45 minutes


1 Tbsp olive oil

1 15oz ricotta cheese

1 lb. mozzarella cheese

1-2 cups parmesan cheese

1 box lasagna noodles

1-2 lbs ground chuck 

1 medium onion, chopped

1-2 Tbsp fresh garlic, minced

1 12oz tomato paste

1 29oz diced tomatoes

½ tsp salt

½ tsp pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp sugar

½ tsp oregano

1 Tbsp parsley


In a large pot, place a Tbsp of olive oil, cook ground chuck until browned.  

Add in chopped onions and garlic.  Cook until onions are soft.

Drain fat from the pot

Add in tomato paste, dice tomatoes, salt, pepper, garlic powder, sugar, oregano, parsley and the onion and garlic.  Let simmer while noodles are cooking.

In another large pot, add water and 1 Tbsp salt, cook lasagna noodles until el dente

In large baking dish layer as follows

Sauce on bottom

Lasagna noodle




Repeat from “a” ending with sauce

Add more parmesan on top of sauce
