Cannoli Cake



  • 1 box white cake (or French vanilla) mix + ingredients on box
  • 1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk, divided
  • 1-1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1-1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (10x)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon, optional
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Powdered sugar for dusting


  1. Bake cake according to directions on the box using a 9×13 pan
  2. Let cake cool completely and poke holes all over the top of the cake
  3. Reserve ½ cup of sweetened condensed milk in a measuring cup and poor the rest over the cake
  4. Place cake in refrigerator for about an hour to absorb the milk
  5. In mixer bowl, combine ricotta, mascarpone and vanilla until smooth
  6. Add powdered sugar and cinnamon and mix until combined. Add reserved sweetened condensed milk and mix until combined
  7. Spread cannoli topping evenly over cake
  8. Top with mini chocolate chips
  9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar
  10. Cover cake and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
