SUBSTITUTIONS and HELPFUL HINTS
1 tablespoon = 3 teaspoons
1 tablespoon flour = 1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 cup self-rising flour = 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour + 1-1/2 tsp baking powder + 1/8 tsp
salt
1 cup buttermilk = 1 tablespoon lemon juice or white vinegar + enough milk to make 1
